Lovely, local and last minute gift guide!

Missed the last post? Panicking at the lack of sleeps before Santa?

Here are my top 5 tips for fabulous gifts that you can find online or on your doorstep... that don't rely on a delivery service!

1. Coffee shop vouchers

Everyone knows that coffee and cake tastes better when it's a paid for, and there's the added feel-good factor of helping a local business. Plus, any café worth its beans will also sell coffee kit and accessories that will look fab in their kitchen!

2. A hamper from your local deli

Whether it's pre-made or a 'build your own' basket, posh crisps and fancy oil will never be unwanted - and it's for the one you love/live with, even better, you'll get to sample the goods! For design lovers, choose products with shelfie-worthy packaging.

3. Plants, plants and more plants!

Pop down to your local florist or garden centre for these luscious gifts. Plants make homes look homely, and have great health benefits... Don't worry about having too many - the more the merrier!

4. Experience days

Need something to look forward to in 2023? There's an experience day for everyone, from a floating lunch on the Thames to track racing (a firm favourite in our family). Plus, you'll have an amazing memory that might even make it onto your photo wall!

  • buyagift.co.uk

  • trackdays.co.uk

5. Book subscription box

These really took off in lockdown, and the most exciting ones also come with monthly treats like chocolate, wine and even beauty products (for that pamper party feel!). Three of the best:

  • thetravellingreader.com

  • aboxofstories.com

  • wordswithwine.co.uk

Best wishes for a wonderful, relaxing Christmas!
